Day Two: Researching a disability and how to include a student in PE class
Group selection
Group will decide on what disability they will research
Research disability
Groups will choose an PE activity and discuss how they can include a student with that disability in PE
DayThree and Four:Simulating the disability and preparing presentation
Available props-
Wheelchair
Walkers/gait trainers Blindfolds Tape Mobility Cane Beeper Balls Gloves/Mittens/Socks Rulers Ear muffs Balls with bells Variety of different size balls/bats Flashlight Sound devices
Students will use their creativity and figure out how to become the person with the disability they researched with props available
Students will take turns being disabled (while participating in the activity) and will use flip camera to video themselves
Students will continue to write in journal-this information will help in final presentation
Students will edit video using Windows Movie Maker for final presentation
Students will create PowerPoint presentation by inserting video and describing what disability they researched, the activity they choose, how they felt being compromised while participating and the challenges they faced.
Students will use Google Slide for their final presentation.
Day Five: Presentation
Groups will present final presentation to class

Schedule: During this one week unit, gym classes will be held in computer lab (Day 1,2,4 & 5) except day 3 which is in the gym.
